Description

Are you a pastry artist with a passion for creating delectable desserts that delight the senses? Hyatt Regency Lost Pines is looking for a talented and innovative Advanced Level Pastry Cook 4 to join our culinary team. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your skills and creativity, crafting exquisite pastries and desserts that leave a lasting impression on our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

Whip up a variety of mouthwatering pastries, desserts, and baked goods, ensuring each creation meets our high standards of taste and presentation.
Design and execute stunning custom desserts and pastry displays for special events and functions.
Maintain the highest quality and consistency in every pastry item, from flavor to appearance.
Keep the pastry kitchen and workstations spotless and organized.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and stocking supplies to keep the kitchen running smoothly.
Collaborate with the Executive Pastry Chef and team members to develop exciting new recipes and menu items.
Follow all health and safety regulations, ensuring proper food handling and storage procedures.
Mentor and train junior pastry cooks and kitchen staff, sharing your expertise and passion for pastry arts.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in a professional pastry kitchen, preferably in high-end or luxury establishments.
Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
A creative flair and a true passion for the pastry arts.
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing top-quality work.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
Texas Food Handler’s Certification is required
