Compensation: $25.00 to $27.00 per hour
Position Objective
Support and service the room attendants and is responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of all corridors, linen rooms, and service areas. He/she will assist the housekeeping department with all projects and special requests from all guests.
Essential Job Functions
- To stock supply closets to maintain at minimum par levels
- Maintain Housekeeping closets.
- Remove trash and dirty linen from the cleaning carts and linen rooms.
- Clean trash from corridors, as needed, move trash, newspaper, and recycling goods to trash pick-up point.
- Replace vacuum bags and assist with restocking of linen carts.
- Monitor consumption and inform managers of guest supplies shortage.
- Move furniture, supplies and equipment as directed by the housekeeping Manager
- Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products, setting up extra beds, bay cots, carpet cleaning and basic floor maintenance.
- Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning unexpected spills and executing special guest requests.
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may require you to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, to be solely determined by the manager based upon the particular requirements of the hotel.
Education/Experience
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High school or equivalent education preferred.
