Support and service the room attendants and maintain cleanliness and organization of linen rooms and refuse rooms.
Essential Job Functions
Remove trash and dirty linen from the cleaning carts and linen rooms. Take to appropriate locations for pick-up.
Maintain linen rooms and trash rooms. Clean trash rooms, as needed, move trash, newspaper and recycling goods to trash pick-up point.
Check Expected Departures, change light bulbs, restock guest rooms with bottled water, and replace vacuum bags as needed.
Monitor consumption and of supplies in linen rooms and restock.
Move furniture, supplies and equipment, strip and prep rooms for deep cleaning per standard.
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the particular requirements of the hotel:
Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products to adhere to resort standards.
Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning unexpected spills and executing special guest requests.
Education/Experience
High school or equivalent education required.
Requirements
Must be able to speak and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
May be required to apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form to deal with problem solving.
Must have valid Florida Drivers License.
Physical Demands
Work tasks are performed indoors and outdoors. Temperature is will fluctuate and may be extreme at times. Must be able to tolerate heat during summer months.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space and to reach other locations of the hotel on a timely basis.
Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space.
Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.
Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees.
Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
Work Environment
Must be able to work effectively in a stressful environment, communicate with others, effectively deal with customers and accept constructive criticism from supervisors.
Must be able to change activity frequently and cope with interruptions.
