Full-Time

Contra Costa Country Club is a private club serving over 500 members since 1925. We offer several amenities to our members including an 18-hole golf course, swimming pool, bocce courts and several events for our members to enjoy. We are currently seeking servers for part-time positions.

Pay: $16 - $18 per hour

Summary

The Server is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service to Members and guests, thus ensuring satisfaction and Member retention. They are responsible for greeting Members and guests promptly while always exhibiting a high level of hospitality. Servers must have a passion for hospitality and Member satisfaction.

Essential Duties

• Maintain company service standards.
• Knowledge of the menu and various liquors, beer, and wines available by the Club.
• Accurately execute Member and guest orders and requests in a timely fashion Clear and reset tables in bar area.
• Present menus make recommendations and answer questions regarding beverages and food.
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas.
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
• Be 18 years of age.
• Complete opening and closing SOP’s to the club standard.
• Clean and sanitize equipment and all Member/Guest areas.

• This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Requires ability to write simple correspondence as well.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding in order to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a small number of concrete variables.

Education And/Or Experience

• One year of serving experience preferred but not necessary. We will train the skill if you have the right attitude.
• Food Handlers Card.
• High School Diploma.

Language Skills

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to speak one-on-one effectively to internal and external customers.

Reasoning Ability

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
• The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
