Compensation: $16.00 per hour
Contra Costa Country Club is excited to announce the exceptional career opportunity of Host. A Host is responsible for managing the Dining Room reservations on a day-to-day basis, greeting and seating guests in the dining room and printing daily and weekly menus for the Grill Room and Main Bar.
Pay Range: $16 - $17 per hour
Position Responsibilities

Greet and seat members and their guests in the Grill Room

Work closely with the F&B Supervisors to assign server stations in Open Table nightly

Manage the flow of covers for each server station in the Grill

Assist F&B Supervisors in daily creation of menus and floor diagrams

Assist F&B Supervisors in daily creation of member photos for staff line-up

Be the first line of defense for the club’s dress code and technology policy. Get Supervisors involved whenever necessary

Maintain proper condition and cleanliness of the host stand and its surroundings

Keep office items (such as paper, envelopes, staples, etc.) stocked

Keep office area clean and organized

Update mailbox names as needed

Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace

Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process

Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written

Must possess basic computational ability

Knowledge of reservations system

Knowledge of Microsoft Office functions

Ability to describe all menu items, prices and methods of preparation. And to use suggestive selling techniques to encourage the members to choose items that are specialties

Food Handlers Certification is required
Education
- High school graduate, some college preferred
