Position SummaryThe role of the Maintenance Engineer is to maintain the hotel's customer and heart of house areas in accordance with brand standards by performing preventative maintenance and repairs as necessaryThe Radisson Hotel La Crosseis looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our team! The Radisson Hotel La Crosse is a 163 room Hotel nestled within Riverside Park overlooking the beautiful Mississippi River.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responds to both customer and hotel staff reports of non-functioning equipment immediately
Maintains problem logbook to record the equipment in need of repair and prioritizes efforts accordingly
Reports any hazards or injuries in the department or hotel and takes immediate action to correct
Maintains rooms in operating condition by performing repairs as needed
Understands the Room Preventative Maintenance Program (R.P.M.)
Performs preventative maintenance throughout the hotel
Maintains the condition of hotel lobbies and restaurants
Repairs furniture, carpet, marble, tile windows, mirrors and decorations as necessary
Maintains operating equipment in working condition by performing routine equipment checks and repairs
REQUIREMENTS:
Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4+years of general facility maintenance experience, preferably within the hospitality industry
Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to successfully pass a driving record check
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
Works well independently or as part of a team
Strong attention to detail
Commitment to exceptional guest service
Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude when handling all situations
Adhere to the policies and procedures of the hotel
Ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends
Working knowledge of computer and math skills.
Experience in pool maintenance, HVAC units, plumbing, and electrical work is also a benefit
Certifications for HVAC CPO preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to hear with 100% accuracy with correction
Ability to stand and exert well paced mobility for an eight (8) hour shift
Ability to lift, pull, push up to 100 pounds on an ongoing basis
Must be able to squat, bend, kneel and twist on an ongoing basis
OTHER INFORMATION:
The hotel business functions seven days a week, 24 hours a day. All associates must realize this fact and be aware that at all times it may be necessary to move associates from their accustomed shift and alter assigned duties as business dictates. In addition, this is a hospitality business, and a hospitable service atmosphere must be maintained at all times
