Job Title: Housekeeping Supervisor

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee daily housekeeping operations. This role is crucial in ensuring our hotel maintains the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction while managing staffing and budgets effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Supervision: Direct and support housekeeping associates to ensure all guest rooms, public spaces, and staff areas are impeccably maintained. Lead by example, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
• Scheduling & Staffing: Develop and manage staff schedules to optimize service quality, efficiency, and productivity, adjusting as necessary to accommodate fluctuations in occupancy.
• Quality Control: Monitor daily assignments to ensure adherence to cleaning quotas and standards. Conduct regular inspections and maintain detailed records to track performance.
• Safety Standards: Establish and enforce safe working conditions and practices for all housekeeping staff.
• Inventory Management: Participate in physical inventories of uniforms, linens, and supplies, and collaborate with external contractors as needed.
• Training & Development: Facilitate ongoing training and development opportunities for team members to enhance skills and service standards.
• Payroll Management: Ensure timely completion and submission of daily and weekly payroll reports and sign-in sheets.
• Operational Oversight: Supervise the start and end of housekeeping shifts, ensuring smooth operations and communication.
• Cost Management: Assist in monitoring and controlling costs related to inventory, supplies, labor, and energy usage.
• Collaboration: Maintain strong working relationships with all department heads to promote teamwork and operational efficiency.
• Guest Relations: Uphold high guest service standards, addressing any concerns promptly and professionally.
• Adaptability: Be prepared to assume the responsibilities of the Housekeeping Manager in their absence and take on additional tasks as needed.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Previous experience in housekeeping, preferably in a luxury property, with supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong background in training and developing staff.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends.
• Familiarity with Collective Bargaining Agreements is preferred.
