Banquet Captain

Full-Time

Belfair Property Owners Association is seeking a dedicated and professional full-time Banquet Captain to join our Catering and Events team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring that all members and guests have a memorable experience. The Banquet Captain will oversee the operations of banquets and events, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently. This role involves coordinating with various staff members, directing the Banquet team, maintaining high service standards, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the event.

Guaranteed $28/hour (base pay + service charge)

Key Responsibilities

Event Coordination

• Oversee the setup, execution, and breakdown of banquet events.
• Ensure all event details, as outlined in the Banquet Event Order (BEO), are accurately executed.

Staff Management

• Supervise, train, and schedule banquet servers and bartenders.
• Assign duties and responsibilities to banquet staff during events.
• Monitor staff performance and provide guidance to ensure high standards of service.

Guest Relations

• Greet guests upon arrival and address any questions or concerns.
• Ensure guests receive prompt and courteous service throughout the event.
• Handle any guest complaints or issues promptly and professionally.

Operational Efficiency

• Ensure the banquet area is clean, organized, and set up according to the event requirements.
• Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food service.
• Monitor inventory levels of banquet supplies and report any shortages to the Banquet Manager.

Compliance and Safety

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Maintain a safe working environment for staff and guests.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality or food and beverage industry.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of banquet operations and event planning.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
