The Hilton Charlotte Uptown is an upscale full-service property featuring 400 state of the art guestrooms and 35,000 ft. of banquet space in the heart of Uptown Charlotte. This role will make in an impact in the following areas:

Updating Birch Street Purchase Order platform with accurate information

Supports Director of Engineering with inventory item sourcing as well as communication with vendors and scheduling of services.

Communicates with hotel vendors to obtain cost quotes for services required by Engineering or Culinary departments.

Request service proposals and pricing details from various suppliers

Receives bi-weekly product delivery requests from Culinary department. Coordinates delivery of those items and required transactions in Birch Street system

Research and identify product options as needed

Approves delivered items and notes any quantity order variance in Birch Street system.

Monitors purchasing storeroom item inventories and communicates stock levels with the Executive Chef. Assist with end of month inventory as needed.

Assists to identify product items for weekly orders utilizing vendor logistics for frequent deliveries

Responsible for administrative functions required as part of hotel Purchasing & Receiving procedures and provides invoices to Accounting department

Responsible for proper placement of products being delivered to hotel and as needed, transport of items to receiving department and hotel guest package storage.

This position requires frequent standing, pushing, pulling and lifting of product deliveries.

Qualifications

Hotel experience preferred in similar size property (300-500 rooms) preferred
