Executive Sous Chef - Waterfront Restaurant

Waterstone Resort & Marina, A Curio Collection by Hilton property, managed by Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a dynamic, service-oriented Executive Sous Chef to join our team!  This is a unique opportunity as food and beverage is at the heart of our Resort's repositioning.  Additionally, you will be part of the opening team as we prepare to launch Kasumi, a modern Japanese restaurant in 2024.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and adjacent areas
• Creative menu planning to adjust to guest needs
• Overseeing food preparation of a 3-meal restaurant & robust Banquet business
• Checking quality of food deliveries
• Ordering food and cleaning supplies and maintaining proper supply levels
• Maintaining costs within budget levels
• Manage labor costs, schedules and productivity
• Hiring, coaching and disciplining direct reports
• Interacting positively and professionally with guests to resolve issues
• Acting as Manager on duty as required
• Perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives

Education And Experience

• Bachelor's degree &/or Culinary Arts Degree preferred; equivalent experience and training will be considered
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a culinary leadership role
• Food Manager safety certification preferred or obtained within 30-days of hire
