Sushi Chef - Kasumi

Waterstone Resort & Marina, a Curio Collection by Hilton property, managed by Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a dynamic, service-oriented LineCook / Prep Cook to join our team! Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Food Preparation: Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines
• Station Management: Maintain and manage assigned kitchen station, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and readiness for service
• Ingredient Handling: Ensure freshness and quality of ingredients by properly storing, handling, and rotating stock.
• Consistency: Execute dishes with precision, ensuring consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen team and head chef to ensure efficient and smooth kitchen operations.
• Sanitation: Adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment.
• Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Plating: Assist with plating dishes according to restaurant standards, ensuring each plate is visually appealing.
• Inventory Management: Assist with inventory checks and inform management of low stock or equipment needs
• Perform various other duties as assigned by chef, sous chef, or managers.

Education And Experience

• Minimum of High School education preferred
• Previous experience in a similar role required minimum 4 years

• Attention to Detail: High attention to detail to ensure quality and consistency
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and work in a fast-paced environment for extended periods
• Teamwork: Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Professionalism: Professional appearance and demeanor, with a commitment to maintaining the restaurant’s high standards
• Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Certification: Food handler certification is preferred
