Assistant Golf Professional Seasonal

The Golf Operations Intern position will report to the Assistant Golf Professional and the Head Golf Professional. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, serving the members and guests of the golf course in a courteous and professional manner. Prioritize assignments, handle multiple tasks and work independently or as part of a team. Use interpersonal skills including a positive attitude, ability to solve conflict, give constructive feedback, as well as good verbal and written communication skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Daily Responsibilities
- Scheduling, leading, and instructing both individual and group instruction for all age groups and experience levels.
- PGA Junior League coaching and practices.
- Teaching camps, clinics and lesson series.
- Supervised practice sessions.
- Assisting in various clinics and teaching private lessons.
3. Assist With Association Events And Member Leagues
- Men’s Association.
- Senior, Men’s and Ladies League management.
- Golf genius software management.
Merchandising Of The Golf Shop
2. Product knowledge and training for yourself and golf staff to increase staff knowledge for better customer service.
3. Assist with all association events and leagues: including Men’s Association, Senior Men’s and Ladies League management.
1. Perform other related duties as assigned.
2. Ensure safe working practices of self and others.
3. Desire to learn and dedication to customer service.
4. Playing golf as needed with patrons and staff.
2. Valid Driver’s License.
3. Retail sales environment experience with progressive responsibility during that time.
4. Computer Skills – Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, tournament, and event software.
5. Cash handling and counting change.
6. Experience in teaching the game of golf.
7. PGA Associate or eligible to enroll in PGA Associate Program.
Work is performed with frequent interruptions, by both customers and other employees. The work environment may be high paced. Position requires this employee to work weekends, holidays and evenings. Occasionally lifts more than 50 lbs. May work alone or as part of a crew.
Compensation: $16.00 per hour
