What we are looking for:

A Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of guest rooms and public areas in a hotel or similar establishment. Duties include cleaning and sanitizing rooms, replenishing supplies, changing bed linens, and ensuring the overall comfort and satisfaction of guests. The Room Attendant also reports maintenance issues, restocks inventory, and ensures all safety and hygiene standards are met.

Responsibilities:

• Clean assigned guest rooms/suites according to hotel standards and Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.P.s).
• Ensure guest bathrooms, bedrooms, and sitting areas are cleaned to a high standard.
• Make beds with clean linen and replenish towels, toiletries, and amenities as per hotel guidelines.
• Dust all surfaces in rooms, including tables, desks, and dressers.
• Vacuum guest rooms daily to ensure cleanliness.
• Replace room amenities, literature, and items as specified by hotel S.O.P.s.
• Clean mirrors, doors, and all surfaces within the room.
• Empty wastebaskets and ashtrays, replacing liners and cleaning as needed.
• Remove food trays, dishes, and glasses from rooms.
• Ensure closets have the proper number of hangers and laundry bags, replacing as needed.
• Address guest requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain and stock supplies, linens, and materials as provided.
• Safeguard assigned keys and return lost items to housekeeping.
• Communicate completed rooms to the supervisor and assist with unfinished rooms.
• Adhere to safety protocols for cleaning supplies and ensure proper usage.
• Report to supervisor for final room inspection and check-in at the end of the shift.
• Assist with preventive cleaning programs and attend housekeeping meetings.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of one year of housekeeping experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently and independently, with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and organization.
• Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
