Here’s What You’ll Be Doing

As our Chief Engineer, you will play a vital role in maintaining the beauty and functionality of our resort, ensuring the highest standards of safety and guest satisfaction. Not only will you oversee all aspects of maintenance and facilities operations at the resort, but you will also serve as a hands-on leader, managing a team, running preventative maintenance programs, and implementing efficient processes to maintain our resort's physical assets.

Mentoring your team, managing capital projects, and collaborating with other departments are just a few of the many responsibilities you will undertake in this pivotal role. Your work will contribute to the overall functionality and appearance of our resort, making it a place guests can’t wait to return to!

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of the engineering and maintenance department
• Develop and execute preventative maintenance programs
• Ensure safety standards, local regulations, and company policies are followed
• Manage capital projects and renovations
• Monitor energy consumption and implement cost-saving initiatives
• Train and mentor the engineering team
• Maintain relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers
• Conduct regular inspections and proactively address issues
• Respond to emergency maintenance situations effectively
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
• Keep accurate records of maintenance work, budgets, and equipment inventory

Are You the One We’re Looking For?

We’re seeking a seasoned professional with at least 5 years of experience in a maintenance or engineering leadership role within the hospitality, resort, or property management industry. Someone who has a strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance.

You'll be a strong problem-solver, able to make sound decisions under pressure and lead a team in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in using maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite is a must, and certifications such as EPA (HVAC), CPO (Certified Pool Operator), or OSHA training are preferred.
