Position Objective
This position is an integral part of the on-site Sales, Marketing and Catering team. The primary objective is to drive our business forward by managing group and event leads, while also coordinating the sales and marketing team’s digital assets to contribute to the company's growth. The ideal candidate will have experience in the hospitality industry and possess strong administrative and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external clients.
Essential Job Functions
- Business Lead Catcher: Capture new leads to ensure no lapses in business and consistent messaging and prompt response time to business leads ensuring increased business.
- Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, competitor strategies, and customer requirements. This will aid in developing marketing tactics that are in line with the market scenario.
- Marketing Campaigns: Coordinate with the DOSM & marketing team to create and implement effective marketing campaigns.
- Sales Support: Provide exhaustive support for the sales team by coordinating sales meetings, preparing sales presentations, handling customer queries, helping with site tours and maintaining sales reports.
- Catering & CCS Support: Provide support by handling customer queries, banquet event spot checks, running BEOS and other event onsite needs. Coordinating with various departments to ensure flawless execution of events and adequate preparation for potential large group bookings.
- FAM & VIP: Organize and manage FAM and Stie Tour arrivals, events, special needs, etc., while ensuring quality service and hospitality to guests.
- Relationship Management: Nurture strong relationships with clients and all stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Branding: Ensure the company’s brand image and message are consistent across all marketing materials and campaigns.
- Deliverables Creation: Develop effective content for in-house sales and marketing initiatives, including signage, reorder collateral, and content for social media posts.
- Oversee and coordinate on-property printing needs with approved print vendors.
- Graphic design work using brand templates in Canva for materials including posters, flyers, invitations, social posts.
Education/Experience
- Experience in hospitality
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
- Relevant experience in Sales and Marketing coordination.
- Excellent creative and analytical abilities.
- Solid experience with CRM software and digital marketing tools and techniques.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools, including social media platforms & email marketing software
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail.
- Exceptional verbal and written communications skills.
- Strong networking skills with the ability to create long-term relationships with clients.
Requirements
Language Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Read and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals, newspapers, periodicals, journals, and manuals.
- Write routine reports, correspondence, business letters, summaries, and reports using prescribed format, and conforming to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style.
Skills
Should have sufficient computer skills that will allow them to be able to use, in a proficient manner, all Salamander Hospitality issued software programs implemented, including but not limited to the following:
- Delphi/ CRS
- Microsoft Word
- PowerPoint
- Microsoft Excel
- Prefer some graphic design background with InDesign, Canva.
Physical Demands
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with long hours, especially during peak periods or hotel events.
- Occasionally required to travel to local events, media engagements, and industry functions.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods while managing desk-based tasks, such as preparing reports and digital content.
- Occasional lifting of marketing materials or promotional items up to 25 lbs.
Work Environment
- Position is in person / on property
- Must be able to work effectively in a stressful environment, communicate with others, effectively deal with customers and accept constructive criticism from supervisors.
- Must be able to change activity frequently and cope with interruptions.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including extended hours, weekends, and holidays based on client programs and demands.
- Must be able to work in close quarters with colleagues, muti-task with attention to details.
