Hawks Cay Resort, the premier destination in Duck Key, Florida, is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our dynamic Finance team. As we unveil an enhanced resort experience in January 2025, we remain committed to excellence in hospitality and financial integrity. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices and payments, supporting the resort’s financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process invoices, verify accuracy, and ensure proper coding and approval in compliance with company policies.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Prepare and process payments, including checks, electronic transfers, and ACH transactions.
• Maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with tax and reporting requirements.
• Assist with month-end closing tasks, including accruals and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with internal departments and vendors to resolve billing and payment inquiries.
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Minimum of one year of accounts payable or related financial experience.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of hospitality or resort industry accounting practices is a plus.
