Job Summary:
The Shuttle Driver responsible for driving hotel shuttles, transferring/storing luggage, and responding to guest requests in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Practice OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
- Greet and escort arriving and departing guests to and from their accommodations.
- Assist guests by opening doors, unloading luggage from vehicle and transporting to their room, personally carrying the luggage or using a luggage cart.
- Acquaint guests with these rooms and their features.
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
- Make deliveries to guest rooms upon request.
- Organize and store luggage, as needed, according to guidelines.
- Ensure that the management/leadership team is kept fully aware of any relevant feedback from guests and/or other departments.
- Assist with room moves, special luggage deliveries and/or pulls, and attend the main lobby and front door, as needed.
- Ensure that the hotel breezeway and entry area is free of debris and present a clean and attractive entry to customers.
- Drive property-designated vehicles to and from guest destinations such as guest room or local airport, as needed.
- Operate hotel shuttle in a safe manner and follow company driver policies/procedures.
- Treat and assist passengers in a positive, professional manner and confront situations tactfully.
- Provide precise directions and offer suggestions to guests for both hotel amenities and nearby destinations, or direct guest to the most appropriate staff member to do so.
- Be watchful of any security issues and contact security immediately when there is an issue.
- Assist with other duties as requested by management in the hotel operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Pass the motor vehicle record check as per our insurance requirements.
- Must be at least 21 years old with a valid state issued driver’s license.
- Must be able to work mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hospitality Experience
- Bilingual
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch for duration of shift (eight hours or longer).
- Ability to lift and/or move and/or push up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms.
