Essential Job Functions
Ensures the Club’s Membership satisfaction in the area of event, services and requests. Promotes the club through excellent service, appearance and attitude.
Receives shipments, prepares merchandise, and receives merchandise into inventory through the Inventory Management system (Yellow Dog).
Presents merchandise in attractive displays, changes/updates displays on a regular basis. Ensures a fresh look is maintained in the shop.
Processes receiving documents for accounts payable.
Leads/Assists in quarterly inventory in retail shops.
Maintains receiving log to cross-check with general ledger monthly.
Maintains sufficient stock levels and assists in ordering merchandise for retail shop. Places special orders for members and guests.
Ensures stockrooms are kept organized so that items are easy to locate.
Processes return authorizations.
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the particular requirements of the hotel:
Assist with guests in the shop, providing top customer service
Train new shop employees
Education/Experience
Associate’s degree (AA); or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Requirements
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written
Must possess basic computational ability
Must possess basic computer skills
Vast knowledge of the Golf industry
Strong organizational skills
Strong ability to multi-task & prioritize
Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs
Physical Demands
May be required to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems.
Must be able to sit at a desk for up to 8 hours per day.
Must be able to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours per day.
Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. occasionally.
Requires grasping, writing, typing, standing, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
Talking and hearing occur in the process of communicating with others.
Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment such as computers, printers, 10-key adding machine, computers, multi-line phones, filing cabinets, FAX machine, photocopiers and other office equipment as needed.
Work Environment
Must be able to work effectively in a stressful environment, communicate with others, effectively deal with customers and accept constructive criticism from peers.
Must be able to change activity frequently and cope with interruptions.
