Compensation: $19.00 to $20.50 per hour

Position Title: Guest Service Agent Location: Holiday Inn Bayside, soon to be DoubleTree by Hilton

Job Summary:We are seeking candidates with a friendly and professional demeanor to exceed guests’ expectations and deliver excellent customer service. This role requires strong communication skills, a flexible schedule, and a willingness to work weekends and holidays. Prior computer knowledge is required, and Hilton experience is a plus.

Job Purpose:

Perform check-in and check-out procedures and all other Guest Service tasks in a pleasant, efficient, and professional manner, contributing to an overall positive guest experience.

Job Responsibilities:

Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests, providing room keys without announcing room numbers.
Answer inquiries about hotel services, shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
Maintain records of room availability and guest accounts; manage reservations (confirmations, cancellations, etc.).
Process guest payments, post charges for services, and handle cash in line with hotel policies.
Transmit and receive messages via telephone, fax, and copier.
Enforce hotel and company credit policies; account for all cash and deposits.
Greet guests warmly and take ownership of resolving any problems effectively.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Strong judgment and problem-solving skills to provide accurate information.
Ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of people.
Proficiency in hotel operating systems.

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum of 3 months in hospitality, general office, accounts receivable, or customer service.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle or feel.
Frequently required to climb stairs, balance, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to carry 25 pounds while navigating stairs.
Occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
Work environment noise levels range from moderate to loud.
