Description

• Set up host stand for service by cleaning menus, establishing accurate seating chart, etc.
• Greet guests as they enter the restaurant with a warm and friendly attitude.
• Escort guests to their table and hand out appropriate menu(s).
• Welcome the guests and alert them as to who their server will be.
• Alert the server immediately of any new tables as to minimize delays in service.
• Accurately record tables and guest counts.
• Appropriately stagger seating by server/section to keep a steady flow of service.
• Protect establishment and guests by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies.
• Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, items that are 86’d, etc.
• Respond to guest cues to anticipate when additional service is needed.
• Thank guests for dining with us when they are leaving and invite them to return.
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by management.
• Assist with special events as needed.
• Adhere to grooming, uniform and appearance standards consistently.
• Promptly address customer service issues and refer customers to management when necessary.
• Answer phones according to the established standards.
• Help assistant server/ servers in resetting and cleaning tables.
• Ensure tables are set properly for each shift.
• Complete all side work as directed by management.

• Must be local to Key West and/or within driving distance to the resort.
• Excellent oral communication skills required.
• Previous upscale, fine dining restaurant or hotel restaurant host experience preferred.
