Key Responsibilities:

• Operations Management:

  Oversee and maintain the physical plant, including HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, pools, and life safety systems. Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs, ensuring accurate recordkeeping.

• CMMS Expertise:

  Manage and optimize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track maintenance tasks, streamline workflows, and ensure proper documentation and reporting.

• Financial Oversight:

  Manage engineering budgets, control department expenses, and handle purchasing in line with department standards. Apply basic accounting principles aligned with BirchStreet standards to monitor and manage costs.

• Regulatory Compliance & Safety:

  Ensure compliance with all relevant Federal, State, and Local regulations, including certifications (e.g., HVAC, pool operations, electrical). Lead and train staff on safety procedures, including emergency protocols.

• Team Leadership & Development:

  Provide leadership and mentorship to the engineering team. Foster a collaborative culture, recognizing employee contributions and ensuring fair treatment.

• Customer Service:

  Address guest issues related to engineering promptly and efficiently. Empower staff to maintain high service standards and respond effectively to service requests or emergencies.

Candidate Profile:

• Education & Experience:
• High school diploma or a 2-year degree in Building/Construction or related fields.
• 4+ years of engineering and maintenance experience, with technical training in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing systems.
• Experience with CMMS and BirchStreet accounting standards is highly desirable.
• Licenses & Certifications:

• Relevant certifications as required by Federal, State, or Local authorities (e.g., HVAC, pool operations, electrical).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Physical Requirements:

  Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, push, pull, and carry objects, and stand for extended periods.
