Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the daily inspection and overall upkeep and maintenance of hotel building and grounds
  • Clean & care for buildings, facilities, and exterior of property to ensure they are maintained in a safe, clean and neat condition
  • Perform a range of landscaping operations that may include using garden and landscaping equipment for mowing, painting, pruning, trimming, installation of plant material, care of flowers and bedding plants
  • Repair damaged grounds areas; notify management of any repairs needed (lighting, public areas, parking lot, etc.)
  • Spread fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs, and trees
  • Assist with performing minor electrical and mechanical repairs
  • Empty all common area waste baskets and keep receptacles clean
  • Attend safety meetings & other related meetings
  • Respond to guest requests and questions and report guest issues and complaints in a hospitable manner to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Be responsible for the care, maintenance and inventory of all supplies and equipment owned by the property

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Ability to operate various types of power equipment including lawnmowers, trimmers, hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, and other landscaping equipment
  • Ability to use hand tools required for landscaping
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete assignments
  • Knowledge of landscaping techniques and processes; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time; must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions.
