Your Impact

As Director of Engineering, you'll be instrumental in shaping the guest experience at one of Brooklyn's most distinctive hotels. You'll lead a dedicated engineering team in maintaining our sophisticated building systems while ensuring our spaces consistently exceed the expectations of our discerning guests and staff.

The Opportunity

• Leadership: Guide and mentor a skilled engineering team while developing and implementing forward-thinking maintenance strategies that enhance our guest experience

• Relationship Building: Foster strong partnerships with vendors, suppliers, and department heads while serving as a trusted advisor to hotel leadership

What You'll Do

• Champion a proactive approach to building maintenance and systems optimization
• Lead and develop a high-performing engineering team through mentorship and hands-on guidance
• Oversee critical building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, elevators, and safety equipment
• Manage vendor relationships and maintain strategic partnerships with key suppliers
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements while maintaining impeccable safety standards
• Drive continuous improvement in operational efficiency and guest satisfaction
• Provide strategic input on capital improvements and system upgrades
