Here is what you will be doing each day:
As the Senior Director of Marketing, you will be responsible for leading the marketing strategy (branding, traditional and digital) and executing initiatives that will drive brand recognition, customer engagement and revenue growth for the hotel and its business entities, including Urban Cove Society & Kitchen and Alcove Lounge; as well as driving small group business, tying together hotel and food & beverage offerings.
This is an on-site position, where the office is located one block away from the hotel itself and this position will require frequent visits to the hotel to assist with event marketing and media/influencer relations.
Essential Job Functions:
Develop and execute holistic and integrated marketing strategy that aligns with our business goals and objectives. Drive the execution of marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social, print and events.
Write annual (and quarterly, as needed) marketing plans working with DOS, GM, Crescent Hotels & Resorts corporate marketing team, and any applicable marketing and PR agencies and partners.
Create and oversee RFP process and execution of selected proposals, as required, for Public Relations, advertising and website agencies.
Brand Management: Champion our brand identity and ensure consistency across all touchpoints. Reference and enforce existing brand guidelines to guide marketing materials and communication.
Digital Marketing: Oversee digital marketing efforts, including website management, SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media (paid and organic) and all other marketing programs. Drive online engagement and conversion through data-driven strategies.
Manage the 33hotel.com website and online listings (CMS is Wordpress). Upload images, new offers, events, press hits, audit/ensure all links and booking flow works as intended. Notify agency when new content is added to ensure proper SEO optimization.
Own the ongoing development and execution of email marketing strategy and content calendar, inclusive of transactional and promotional emails. (Building, writing, linking, deploying and reporting using CRM system)
Oversee and partner with PR firm, digital advertising and other applicable marketing agencies. Ensure proactive and open communication when offers either expire or launch, and review, edit and approve any and all advertisements (print and digital).
Continue to oversee ongoing strategy and execution of organic social media efforts for hotel and restaurants, inclusive of content creation, posting, customer service responses, and reporting.
Execute any paid digital initiatives outside of agency scope – including, but not limited to, OpenTable Sponsored Ads, Yelp, Geo-fencing and Google My Business offer postings for restaurant and hotel.
Content Creation: Lead content development efforts, including copywriting, graphics, and video production (via third party). Create compelling and engaging content that resonates with our target audience.
Assist with photo and video shoots as needed (create shot list, work with operations, housekeeping, revenue/reservation, F&B teams to coordinate schedule and ensure spaces are prepared as needed. Oversee day-of execution of photo shoot.). Ensure new photography is loaded to corporate hosting site and uploaded/optimized to website and all third party channels.
Full oversight and execution of email marketing for both the hotel and restaurant (different systems, schedules and data segmentation)
Work closely with revenue department to identify opportunities for package and offer builds, rate strategy and comp set audits, and supply imagery and copy needed for loading into booking engine site or other third party sites.
Analytics and Reporting: Utilize data and analytics tools to measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts. Make data-driven decisions to optimize campaigns and improve ROI.
Facilitate the tracking and reporting of all marketing expenditures, maintaining bi-weekly and monthly website KPI report, and present monthly performance reviews for Ownership and Crescent Hotels & Resorts Management team.
Team Leadership: Collaborate with a team of hotel and marketing professionals, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Work closely with Sales, Food & Beverage and Revenue teams to develop and track success on promotional offers/packages for hotel rooms, food & beverage foot traffic, event and activation attendance.
Budget Management: Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve maximum impact.
Requirements:
Must have five years minimum of marketing experience within the hotel industry.
Expertise in social media platforms and strategy.
Knowledge of consumer engagement and digital trends.
Comfortable presenting and communicating marketing reports to stakeholders.
Strong understanding of agency expectations and industry benchmarks, and comfortable pushing agency partners for strong results.
Strong interpersonal skills and relationship-building skills to work with peers, superiors, partners, hotel guests and media. Must be a team player, open to working in a matrixed organization. Strong communication skills are a necessity.
Must be proactive and resourceful, able to complete tasks with allocated resources.
Proficient in website content management systems (Wordpress experience a plus); Email Marketing or Customer Relations Management (CRM) systems; and Social Media platforms and tools.
Proficient in Google Analytics/ GA4.
Canva and/or graphic design/video editing experience preferred, but not required.
You must be organized, have great attention to detail.
You are self-motivated and proactive.
Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
Knowledgeable about current industry & technology trends, can speak to hotel acronyms/jargon.
Problem solver and a creative thinker.
Ability to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Must be open to physical requirements as needed: walking the hotel space to audit collateral; walk the hotel space to capture social media content and gain understanding of customer experience; continue to build in-person relationships with hotel and Seaport/NYC businesses and team members.

For applicants who will be working in NYC, the anticipated compensation range for the position is $105,000 to $110,000 per year. The salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, work location, etc. Crescent Hotels is a multi-state employer and the salary ranges indicated herein may not reflect positions that work only in other states.
