The Assistant General Manager will work closely with the General Manager to oversee all aspects of club operations, fostering meaningful relationships with members, guests, and associates. This role involves collaborating on the Club’s annual financial plan, managing department-specific goals, and driving creative, competitive programming that enhances the Terravita experience. Key responsibilities include financial oversight, asset care, personnel management, and innovative marketing efforts to elevate club amenities and events. The AGM also plays a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of service, safety, and operational excellence are consistently upheld.

Essential Duties
- Assist with developing, administering, and achieving the annual Club financial plan.
- Oversees the care and maintenance of all club physical assets. May coordinate maintenance efforts of Clubhouse Managers.
- Audits all inventories to assess control reliability. Identifies opportunities to control product costs and other expenses.
- Prepares and monitors quarterly revenue goals and expenses, generates various (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual) business volume reports, and updates forecasts.
- Monitors all financial reports/statements every month and recommends effective corrective action in cases of any negative budget variance.
- Monitors business volume forecast in each department and advises changes to plans or programs, in areas of manpower, productivity, COS, operating costs and other elements.
- Manages marketing efforts to promote programs and business with the Club amenities continually.
- Collaborates and assists key managers with developing and achieving business and operating plans.
- Participates in the creation of events and menus to entice a variety of appetites, for both restaurants and banquets.
- Ensures that all of the Club programs are relevant, current, creative innovative, and competitive with the Club industry standards.
- Assists the General Manager in monitoring the success of all departments and department associates, including semi-annual performance reviews, as needed.
- Assists in interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work at all levels, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Organizes compilation of all necessary data required to prepare annual budgets for the club, as well as the comprehensive annual club’s business plan. Serves as budget manager and as the point-person for timely and accurate completion of annual budgets for club operations.
- Monitors basic personnel policy, and reviews policies relating to personnel actions and training along with professional development programs. Ensures that human resources procedures and policies are followed and that deviations are effectively managed.
- Assists with overall training and development programs for the Club operations.
- Updates and oversees the implementation of policies and procedures for multiple departments, including compliance with all company standards.
- Monitors overall club(s) safe-work practices and coordinates ongoing safety education programs.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree (BA); or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (Multi-course facilities may require more experience.)
Certificates/Licenses
CMAA membership preferred
