Day Care Monitor

Full-Time

The Day Care Monitor will take care of the needs of children placed in the day care facility while providing a safe and supervised environment.

Essential Duties

• Maintains a safe environment for children placed in day care.
• Ensures that established rules of the day care center are enforced and adhered to.
• Maintains an attractive, orderly appearance in the day care center.
• Assists with the facilitation of entertaining and educational activities for the children.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Regular and reliable attendance. (must be available nights and weekends)
• Performs other duties as required.

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands

• Frequently uses hands; reaches with hands and arms; talks, hears, stands and walks, climbs or balances; stoops, and kneels. Occasionally sits, crouches, or crawls, tastes or smells.
• Occasionally lifts up to 45 pounds.

Certificates/Licenses

• CPR and First Aid Certification. Applicable State or County Health Card and Sheriff’s Card.
