We are currently seeking a Cook 2 to join our talented culinary team and help elevate our culinary offerings.

THE ROLE:

The Cook 2 at Park Hyatt Chicago, plays a key role in delivering exceptional culinary experiences within a world-renowned kitchen. As a mid-level culinary professional, you will work alongside a talented team of chefs and cooks, executing high-quality dishes while contributing to the daily operations of a fast-paced, luxury environment. Your responsibilities will include overseeing multiple cooking stations, preparing gourmet dishes with precision, and maintaining the exceptional standards that NoMI is known for.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years in a high-volume, fine dining, or upscale hotel kitchen, with solid experience or similar level role. Culinary school is a plus but not required.
• Proficiency in a variety of cooking techniques and station management. Strong knife skills and attention to detail in food preparation and plating.
• A keen interest in innovative cuisine and a passion for producing dishes that exceed guest expectations.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with the culinary team. Willingness to lead by example and assist with training junior team members.
• Strong work ethic, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• This is a standing role that requires the ability to lift and move heavy objects, including kitchen equipment and food supplies, as needed throughout your shift.
• Flexibility to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
