SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue and securing new business for the conference center. The centerpiece of this process is MCC’s long standing reputation of building and maintaining relationships with our clients to earn their trust and build loyalty. Sales managers will proactively identify new markets and business opportunities, negotiate contracts, and collaborate with other departments to ensure exceptional guest experiences. The goal is to maximize room occupancy, meeting space utilization, and overall hotel profitability by offering tailored event solutions and a seamless booking process. This position requires a results-driven individual with strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills, who is committed to meeting and exceeding sales targets.

Maritime Conference Center is located just four miles from Baltimore, five minutes from Baltimore Washington International Airport and a short drive from Washington DC. MCC's central location provides a convenient, easy-to-reach destination for unions, educational institutions, government entities, associations, corporations, non-profits and religious organizations planning a meeting or group event. Our setting, on the beautiful, green campus of the Maritime Institute of Technology and Graduate Studies (MITAGS) in Linthicum Heights, MD, offers an idyllic and inspiring setting for you to connect with your guests away from urban bustle and distractions. Between events your guests will pass through hallways adorned with seven-foot models of seafaring vessels and centuries of Merchant Marine history.
We offer 232 contemporary, well-equipped guest rooms and suites appointed with free Wi-Fi, coffeemaker, refrigerator, a work desk with an ergonomic chair and a flat-screen TV with satellite programming. With 100,000 square feet of state-of-the-art meeting space encompassing 55 function rooms, we’re designed to host sales meetings, training seminars, product demonstrations and banquets of up to 500 guests.
