Answer In-Room Dining phone within 3 rings, using correct salutations and telephone etiquette.
Operate the computer system for order-taking, check printing, closing out checks and printing reports.
Maintain knowledge of all menus (including Daily Specials, Alternative Cuisine, wine list, etc.) and of the service of food and beverage items offered by the department and the hotel.
Up sell to guests as well as confirm their order before thanking them.
Complete side work as assigned.
Record all guest charges, gratuities and cash transactions accurately.
Coordinate between the server and kitchen for smooth, coordinated service.
Work Authorization in the U.S.

Qualifications

Six months minimum food and beverage experience.
Working knowledge of food, wines, spirits.
Excellent mathematical skills.
Computer skills are helpful but not required.
