Operations Banquet Manager Must have flexible Schedule

The Banquet Manager will oversee the hotels’ functional meeting space for all business & social functions ranging from elegant weddings to intimate gatherings.

Job Duties: (include, but not limited to) 

• Understand Banquet Event Order’s (BEO’s)
• Develop positive client/vendor relationships 
• Training and Development of Staff
• Coordinate with the Banquet Staff to ensure proper set-up of tables and chairs. Ensure that linens, china, silverware, glassware and other service requirements are completed in a timely fashion before the dining room opens.
• Review menu and special food arrangements before each function with the Banquet Chef.
• Prompt and accurate completion of any assigned special project.
• Conduct checks on all room sets prior to each event, and meet with Banquet Chef to confirm quantities of food items and timing of food leaving the kitchen.
• Conduct pre-function meetings
• Respond quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner and follow up to ensure guest satisfaction
• Handles guest problems and complaints as needed and professionally.
• This position reports to the Director of Catering  

Qualifications: 

• Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a high-volume hotel, banquet, or catering facility
• Ability to work well with other departments using strong communication/computer skills
• Must have a positive attitude at all times.
• A/V knowledge is a plus
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, weekends and holidays as required by the business
