Concierge Supervisor

Position Objective

The Concierge Supervisor is responsible for daily operations of the Concierge Desk, to ensure Forbes standards and guests requests are taken care of in a timely manner. The Concierge Supervisor is responsible for the execution of daily operations for the Kings Club, directs and works with the Club Concierge and Club Lounge Attendants to deliver the Kings Club guest experience while maintaining the property’s standards to ensure guest and employee satisfaction. Train and develop our Kings Club and Concierge team following all of Hotel Bennett’s operating procedures and standards.

Essential Job Functions

• Communicate guest needs and preferences within the department and throughout the property to ensure that each guest has the most personalized experience possible
• Create a welcoming lounge environment for all who enter the Kings Club
• Assist the Club Lounge Manager in ordering of all food and beverages in the Kings Club
• Inputting monthly inventory counts into the inventory system and submitting to the purchasing department. 
• Maintain cleanliness of the Kings Club at all times
• Service all food and beverage requests for guests with gracious and sincere hospitality
• Assist the Club Lounge Manager in controlling the lounge inventory including food, alcohol, soft drinks, silverware, glassware, china, linens, serving pieces, buffet presentation pieces
• Ensure that the Kings Club is attended to at all times
• Communicate anticipated business demands to the Club Lounge Manager
• Ensure staff’s knowledge of hotel services, features, and amenities
• Assign specific tasks to the staff as they arise
• Monitor and ensure that Hotel Bennett staff performs their job functions to the hotel’s expected level of service
• Accommodate all guest requests in an accurate and efficient manner.
• Possess the ability to maintain a calm demeanor in a stressful, hurried environment 
• Be an ambassador of the Hotel Bennett at all times
• Overseeing daily concierge operations by ensuring Concierge staff is maintaining Forbes standards.
• Seamlessly stepping in during the concierge’s team’s absence to ensure uninterrupted service.
• Completing weekly invoicing for outside vendors and submitting to accounting in a timely manner 
• Ensure that the lobby concierge desk is presentable and attended to at all times
• Control Concierge inventory and ordering including Guest supplies and amenities. 
• Attaching as Manager On Duty in absence of the Concierge Manager. 

Education/Experience

• High School Diploma; preferably college degree
• 2 years experience in a supervisory role in Guest Services, Front Desk, Housekeeping, or other area of operation within the Rooms Division
• 2 years experience in a guest facing F&B service role also preferred

• While performing the duties this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for extended periods of time, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch; talk and hear. 
• The employee must be able to lift and move up to 30 pounds. 
• The employee must have legible penmanship for reporting and documentation and be able to see differences in widths and length of lines such as those on graphs.
