Description

PURPOSE:

The Laundry Attendant/Houseman will ensure guests satisfaction as it relates to the supply, quality, and cleanliness of linens and soft goods. Specifically, The laundry staff is expected to ensure an adequate supply of clean linens (towels, robes, sheets, etc.) are available to all departments at all times. Turndown service may be included.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Essential Functions:

Operate washers and dryers within cleaning, loading, and temperature requirements

Periodically check water temperature and automatic fluid dispenser amounts to ensure they fall within operating specifications

Keep laundry area neat, uncluttered, and clean

Service guest needs as directed
Provide turndown service

Sort all linen into appropriate carts. This position requires bending, stooping, lifting, and pushing carts

Washing, drying, and folding items

Other:

Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by LASR from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules, weekends, holidays, and overtime to reflect the business needs of LASR. Employees may also be required to attend group and/or department meetings in addition to the work shift as necessary.

Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with LASR for the safe and efficient operation of LASR facilities.

Fold linens, stock linens and soft goods in Housekeeping storage room. Return when possible, damaged linen and soft goods to use by repairing or removing stains.
