Job Description



Responsible for soliciting new catering accounts, develop and maintain customer relationships to enable the Resort to meet and/or exceed food and beverage revenue goals. Oversee execution of client functions to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Solicit new and existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through telephone solicitation, email, written communication, outside sales calls, site inspections and customer entertainment.
  • Execute catering sales agreements, oversee client tastings, menu details, function set-ups as well as billing arrangements and communicate all pertinent details to the operational departments
  • Maintain internal booking reports and ensure proper account and file maintenance.
  • Participate in daily business review meeting, pre-convention meetings, training and other catering sales related meetings as required
  • Work with other departments within the Resort to provide quality service to customers
  • Attend community/social events and industry meetings
  • Develop/maintain knowledge of market trends, competition and customer relationships

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the particular requirements of the hotel:
  • Support the Director of Sales & Marketing with forecasting of catering revenues, expense management and iVvy Sales & Catering account maintenance.
  • Professionally represent the Resort in the community as well as industry organizations and events.
  • Be a collaborative, proactive leader/team player within sales, conference services and operations peer groups.

She has also served as the general manager of The Hermitage Hotel in Nashville, TN; director of operations at the Waldorf Towers in New York, NY; and front office manager at The Jefferson Hotel in Richmond, VA.
John SpeersVice President of OperationsJohn Speers, Vice President of Operations, oversees day-to-day operations of the company's hotels and resorts. He brings an exceptional background in luxury and Five Star/Five Diamond operations, having previously served as Senior Vice President overseeing properties such as Chatham Bars Inn and the Inn at Perry Cabin, as well as the Managing Director for The Little Nell Hotel, Residences at Little Nell, and The Aspen Mountain Club. Speers has previously served as General Manager of Faena Hotels in Miami Beach, as Resort Manager of Four Seasons Jackson Hole in Teton Village, WY, and as Director of Food and Beverage at Four Season Chicago.
