Job Description


The Revenue Analyst is integral to the success of the Hotel Sales and Revenue Management teams. The position will report to the Area Director of Revenue Management and work collaboratively with the Sales, Marketing and Operations to implement and activate revenue optimization strategies.

This role is responsible for assisting with revenue, marketing and sales initiatives, ensuring financial goals are met and consistent, high level of service is delivered with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of the hotel's objectives. The Revenue Analyst will focus and act in support of Our Quality Pledge and Standards of Service.

The Revenue Analyst is responsible for, but not limited to the following duties and activities:

  • Provide administrative support for the Revenue Management team
  • Participate in revenue management and strategy meetings, including travel to hotel properties as requested by the Area Director of Revenue Management and/or the management team.
  • Accurate preparation and distribution of daily, weekly, monthly revenue reports. The reports include market segmentation analysis, production reports, source contribution analysis, daily pick-up reports, preferred guest program analysis, etc.
  • Assist with ensuring rates are properly loaded and inventory maintenance is accurate.
  • Provide brand level support and timely communication of brand initiatives to management.
  • Be knowledgeable of all special rates and promotions and communicate strategies and procedures to other departments as required.
  • Create new rate builds for promotions and negotiated accounts.
  • Analyze local events and activities and project the effect of opportunities they create.
  • Review and analyze reports such as Market Vision, STAR, Hotelligence and other measurement tools and present revenue opportunities.
  • Perform audits and maintenance on all systems, including PMS, CRS, RMS, and Sales & Catering Systems to ensure content and information is correct.
  • Proactively monitor and analyze the competition to identify selling strategies and market trends.
  • Assist in preparing short- and long-term forecasts.
  • Adhere to all standards, policies, and procedures and consistently maintain a professional and ethical representation within the Sales, Marketing and Revenue Management department.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned, to meet business needs.


Job Requirements


  • Strong communicate skills both verbally and written, with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service oriented manner.
  • Proficient in Microsoft related programs with heavy emphasis on Excel, VBA
  • Able to understand and evaluate complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.
  • The ability to prioritize projects and work quickly in a high-pressure & high stress environment.
  • Demonstrates independent problem-solving skills and ability to identify areas of opportunity.
  • Exceptional with details and follow up.
  • Knowledge and understanding of all industry reports (STR, Hotelligence, Market Vision, etc.)
  • Strong work ethic and professional focus; High level of integrity and discretion.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Ability to work extended hours based on business needs, with physically demanding responsibilities such as walking, standing, carrying, and lifting throughout the extended shift. Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 20 pounds on occasional basis.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

  • At least 2 years of experience in hospitality revenue management, reservations, operations, or business analyst role preferred.
  • PMS system experience on Hilton, Marriott or IHG a plus.

Education :

2-year degree from an accredited university preferred with an emphasis in statistics

STEPHANIE HOVICE PRESIDENT OF HUMAN RESOURCESStephanie Ho is the Vice President of Human Resources of the B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group. In her role, Stephanie leads the Human Resources function for the group and is responsible for providing strategic, tactical leadership to fulfill the company's One team! values and culture, execute business strategies through the Hospitality team talent. Prior to joining the B. F. Saul Company, Stephanie had Regional Human Resources oversight, managing 25 full/select service hotels spanning 10 states. Prior to her Corporate career, she worked in unionized hotel properties in Washington DC as the Director of Human Resources. She also worked in Operations in various countries and held managerial positions in Sales before making a career move to Human Resources. Stephanie graduated with First Honors at Swiss Hotel Management School in Switzerland with a degree in International Hospitality Management. She currently serves as a co-chair for the American Hotel Lodging Association (AHLA) Career Development Committee. She also served as an Advisory Member for the DC Workforce Investment Council - Hospitality Intermediary Program. Stephanie currently resides in a lake house in Reston, VA, with her husband and daughter. In her free time, Stephanie enjoys hosting meals for her loved ones and exploring the DC restaurant scene.
