Job Summary
Supervises under the direction of Food and Beverage Managers the Front of the House Food and Beverage operations for Carillon Miami Wellness Resort, Strand Bar & Grill, Corner Store, and In Suite Dining ensuring a positive guest experience.
Essential Job Functions
Supervises Food and Beverage team members pertaining to Carillon Miami Wellness Resort, Strand Bar & Grill, Corner Store, and In Suite Diningto ensure the highest quality guest service and presentation.
Assists with counseling, coaching, and disciplining of staff as appropriate.
Participates in the recruitment, selection and orientation of new staff members.
Provides input to manager relating to instructor performance on and ongoing basis and as part of the Performance Evaluation process.
Completes opening/closing checklist for all Food and Beverage spaces and supervises related staff assignments.
Oversees completion of all opening/closing sidework.
Monitors running sidework during AM/PM shift to ensure proper equipment levels.
Ensures all Food and Beverage outlets are properly set for beginning/end of business day.
Ensures a positive guest experience and facilitates the smooth daily operation of the outlets
Participates in staff training and regularly monitors performance to ensure Carillon service levels are maintained at all times.
Circulates throughout the Food and Beverage venues talking with guests and monitoring service levels.
Resolves problems and executes service recoveries if necessary to ensure guest satisfaction
Supervises staff’s punctuality and adherence to uniform and appearance standards.
Interacts with staff on a regular basis to communicate needs and goals while providing employees with the opportunity to share ideas and exchange feedback.
Performs spot checks on In Suite Dining;
Report all product/service defects and takes ownership to get these deficiencies resolved.
Understands POS systems and has the capacity to perform basic functions on the servers stations
Reports and documents any observed or known safety hazards, conditions or unsafe practices and procedures to management.
Performs any other reasonably related duty to ensure guest satisfaction and the smooth operation of the Food and Beverage outlets.
Job Requirements
Education, Experience and Skill Requirements
At least 2 years prior upscale Food and Beverage server experience.
At least 1 year prior experience in a hotel Food and Beverage operation preferred.
At least 1 year prior supervisory experience preferred.
Food Handler Certificate
Well-organized and detail-oriented.
Must have strong interpersonal skills including: guest service motivation, the ability to effectively supervise and instill cooperation in staff, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Well versed in all aspects of discreetly catering to the highest demands of high profile and powerful clients.
Must be familiar with and adhere to all liquor liability laws.
Must have a cheerful demeanor and enjoy being around people.
