Sofitel New York is looking for a Director of Food and Beverage to manage and coordinate all aspects of the hotel's restaurant, bar, room service, and banquets in all capacities thereby ensuring top efficiency and highest guest satisfaction. Position is based in New York, NY.
Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management or related field and three years’ experience in Hotel Food and Beverage Management. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, employer will accept an Associate’s Degree and five years of experience in Hotel Food and Beverage Management. In addition, the following specific skills are required:
3 years of food & beverage management experience at a four diamond hotel;
3 years (5 years for associates degree) of experience managing in a union environment and under collective bargaining agreements;
3 years (5 years for associates degree) of experience with food and beverage cost and expense management;
3 years (5 years for associates degree) of experience with food and beverage event management and marketing;
3 years (5 years for associates degree) of experience with Micros 3700, Opera, Open-Table, Hotsos, MS Office Proc, and Mac Os;
Must possess a wine certification recognized by the American Culinary Federation Education Foundation.
