Villa Christina at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta Perimeter is looking for a Banquet management professional to join our the team at our Four Diamond hotel. With newly renovated food and beverage spaces and a long-standing history as the premier wedding venue in Atlanta, this is an opportunity you can't pass up! The Banquet Manager's primary responsibilities include:
  • Hiring, training and directing the banquet staff in servicing all the banquet activities
  • Ensuring a successful function and repeat business
  • Maintaining a positive, high energy environment and engaging colleagues
  • Evaluates, coaches and counsels Banquet employees
  • Attends operational meetings and BEO meetings
  • Works closely with other departments and management staff including Culinary, Catering/Events, Food & Beverage, and hotel team to ensure guest needs are met
  • Ensures that banquet storage areas are maintained in a neat, organized and safe manner
  • Administrative tasks include the facilitation of payroll, reports, scheduling according to established budgetary/productivity guidance, forecasts, point of sale procedures, inventory and budget
  • Adhering to all Pyramid Hotel Group health and safety procedures
  • All other duties as assigned

This is a management position.


Job Requirements

Qualification standards:
  • Extensive knowledge of Banquet and Catering operations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage preparations
  • Hotel experience and a thorough understanding of all levels of banquet service.
  • Computer and software proficiency, including ability to operate a Point of Sale system, utilize event management software, payroll and scheduling software, and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Must possess refined verbal and written communication skills.
  • Should be creative, innovative, detail-oriented and organized.
  • Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, strong developer and trainer, and effective in in providing exceptional customer service.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience as a Banquet Manager, Assistant Banquet Manager, or Supervisor is required, preferably in an up-scale (4/5 Star) hospitality environment.

Richard KelleherPrincipal Chief Executive OfficerRichard Kelleher is one of the hospitality industry’s most dynamic and accomplished executives. For over 30 years he has built and led strong, diverse teams in the development and management of leading hotel organizations. In 1983, following an early career in consulting, Mr. Kelleher co-founded Beacon Hotel Corporation, a Boston-based hotel development and management firm that grew to 40 hotels in four years. He further directed the company’s growth through acquisition of Guest Quarters Suites Hotels, Pickett Suite Hotels, and DoubleTree Hotels Corporation.
