How do I make an impact on my team? Our friendly Guest Service Representatives provide attentive and courteous service, all while creating a memorable and personalized experience for our guests.  

  • Greet and interact with guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner
  • Provide the highest level of service by anticipating, listening attentively, and responding promptly to guests’ needs
  • Promptly handle guest service requests and guest complaints to meet and exceed guest expectations
  • Work in cooperation with other departments to ensure a positive guest experience
  • Use computer system to make reservations, check-in and check-out guests, and process payments
  • Perform tasks such as answering phones, maintain a cash drawer, operate office equipment
  • Ensure safety and security of the property, staff, and guests

Cathy GillmanVice President, General CounselCathy Gillman is Vice President and General Counsel for North Central Group. She is responsible for providing legal and business advice and overseeing legal matters for all companies within North Central Group. Her scope of duties includes real estate transactions, financing, asset management, risk management, hotel development, hotel management, and general business and corporate matters for operating hotels. After earning a BS degree in Accounting (with highest honors) from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse, Cathy worked in the tax department of KPMG LLP in Minnesota. She received a Masters in Business Taxation from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management and a JD (summa cum laude and Order of the Coif) from the University of Minnesota Law School. She clerked for Judge John T. Noonan of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit before joining the Business Law Department of Foley & Lardner LLP in 1997. While employed at Foley & Lardner LLP, Cathy also taught Business Law I at Madison Area Technical College. She joined North Central Group in 2006. Cathy is admitted to practice law in Wisconsin and Minnesota, holds an inactive CPA license in Wisconsin and Minnesota, and is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin and the Association of Corporation Counsel. She has been a presenter at several State Bar of Wisconsin PINNACLE seminars on commercial real estate financing. In her spare time, Cathy is an active volunteer with the Foundation for Madison Public Schools and her children’s schools and athletic teams.
Laura JaggiVice President, Human Resources & AdministrationLaura Jaggi serves as the Vice President of Human Resources & Administration for North Central Group. Laura has oversight of all human resources activities for the corporate staff and our portfolio of hotels, including organizational development, employee relations, training and development, employment law, benefits and compensation, and recruitment and selection. She has over 25 years of human resources experience, 20 years with North Central Group. Laura is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stout with a BBA degree and an emphasis in Human Resources. She has been an active local chapter member and Past President of the Greater Madison Area Society for Human Resource Management (GMA SHRM) and a national SHRM member since 1992. Laura enjoys spending time with her family along with traveling, reading and gardening.
Mark LenerzChief Financial OfficerAs Chief Financial Officer of North Central Group, Mark Lenerz is responsible for the fiscal management aspects of the company operations. Mark offers leadership and coordination to the financial role including strategic insight into NCG’s debt and equity, financial reporting, accounting, administrative, and budgeting areas. In addition, Mark provides oversight to the technology team at North Central Group as they support our team members and any company initiatives. Mark earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh. He began his career in public accounting and eventually transitioned into accounting positions in various industries. Prior to joining NCG in 2008, Mark served as Chief Financial Officer for a commercial real estate development company. Mark is a Certified Public Accountant and member of the WICPA and AICPA. He enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, as well as participating in, coaching, and watching sports.
Jeff LenzPresident & Chief Development OfficerJeff Lenz is President and Chief Development Officer for the North Central Group. He is responsible for the overall development, construction and renovation of all new hotels within the North Central Group portfolio. His duties include conducting site selections, contract negotiations, land entitlement and franchise selection, in addition to acting as the owner’s representative for hotel design and construction. With regard to asset management, Jeff is also a principal participant in long and short-term planning, evaluating asset acquisitions, dispositions, coordinating real estate and financing transactions and maintaining lender relations. After graduating from the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Jeff went on to earn his Master of Science degree in Real Estate and Urban Land Economics at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. He began his career at North Central Group as a Real Estate Analyst in 1995, and before moving into his current position, he also worked as an Associate for the mortgage banking firm Eberhardt Company in Denver, Colorado and Minneapolis, Minnesota. Jeff is currently serving as a board member of the Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce and a member of Hilton Hotel’s Product Advisory Council. He is also very active in real estate and the local community as a member of the Urban Land Institute and the University of Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Association in addition to being a Key Club Member of the United Way of Dane County. Jeff enjoys spending spare time with his wife Susan and three sons, Drew, Aidan and Dylan, and coaching their many athletic endeavors. He is also a licensed pilot and acts as co-pilot for North Central Group’s corporate aircraft.
Jonathan BogatayChief Executive OfficerJonathan Bogatay serves as the Chief Executive Officer of North Central Group. As CEO, Jonathan sets the strategic, operational, financial and cultural expectations of North Central Group to ensure the successful performance of a premier hotel management and development company. Prior to joining North Central Group, Jonathan held several senior management positions with various lodging owners, operators, and developers, as well as having worked for Promus Hotel Corporation, now a part of Hilton Worldwide. Jonathan is currently serving on the Courtyard Franchise Advisory Council, Hampton Brand Franchise Advisory Council, Board of Directors for The Spirit of Greater Madison, the Greater Madison Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, the AH&LA Council of Inn’s & Suites, the AH&LA Legislative Action Committee. He is Past Chairman of the Hilton Garden Inn Franchise Advisory Council and an ad hoc member of Hampton Hotels’ “Make It Hampton” Brand Strategy and Operations Committee. His passion for the Hospitality Industry and the Marriott and Hilton Family of Brands mirrors his commitment to both his NCG family and that of his own. In his spare time, Jonathan collects and restores classic muscle cars from the 1960’s and 1970’s, is an avid reader, and a recreational golfer.
David LenzFounder & ChairmanDavid Lenz founded the North Central Group in 1979. The North Central Group was formed for the purpose of developing, owning, and franchising well-known branded hotels. Dave is responsible for the company’s long-term growth strategy. Dave was a founding member of the Hampton Inn Franchise Advisory Council. He is a Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) by the American Hotel and Lodging Association (AHLA), past member of the Courtyard by Marriott Franchise Advisory Council, past member of the Super 8 Motels President’s Advisory Council and currently a board member of the University of Wisconsin James A. Graaskamp Center for Real Estate. Dave is also allied with a number of civic and community activities. He was a founding member of the Board of Directors for the Ronald McDonald House of Madison, a charter member of the Badger Air Community Council (BACC), a member of the University of Wisconsin Bascom Hill Society, the Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Association, and the United Way Alexis de Tocqueville Society. Dave began his energetic career as a commercial loan officer and appraiser, working for commercial mortgage bankers and savings & loan institutions. He served fourteen years as an officer in the 176th Fighter Squadron of the Wisconsin Air National Guard. Through his work with the BACC, he was awarded Honorary Commander status for the 115th Fighter Wing group. Today he continues his aviation interest as the senior pilot for North Central Group’s CJ3 aircraft. Dave holds a BBA in Real Estate and Finance from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.

Go GreenOver our 30-year history, North Central Group has been on the forefront of green technologies. From white roofs, to energy management systems, to low-flow water fixtures, we have researched and implemented numerous green initiatives across our portfolio of hotels. NCG has established The Green Team, bringing the sustainable efforts of our development and management companies together into a cohesive unit. The mission of The Green Team is to create a sustainable environment throughout our portfolio of hotels while adding value for our team members, guests and investors. As we strive to carry out this mission, several initiatives remain on our radar, each at various stages of research and implementation. Our most recent initiative is with the iStay Green Eco-leaf ratings. The Green Eco-leaf ratings include staff education, recycling, philanthropic efforts, and other environmental projects. North Central Group hotels received these Green Eco-leaf ratings based on utilizing energy efficient lighting, water conservation, environmentally friendly chemicals and detergents and much more. Our hotels are proud to utilize these environmentally friendly policies and will continue to look for more energy efficiencies in the future.
