The Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott in Clearwater, Florida has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Assistant General Manager.
* Reports directily to the General Manager and is responsible for asisting in the overall sucess of the hotel by meeting or exceeding planned objectives - in an effort to maintain maximum occupancy, revenue, efficincy and accuracy.
* Ensure superior service is provided to all guests and all product quality standards are met.
* Oversee the hotel in the absence of the General Manager, including guest services, housekeeping, maintenance and all other departments.
* Directly supervises the hotel front desk staff. Recruits, hires, trains and retains the team.
* Plans, assigns and directs work of the front desk staff and other departments.
* Addresses guests questions and resolves concerns when brought to the attention.
* Is pro-active in resolving customers needs, requests for service and assistance.
* Responsible for various accounting and sales reports and completes and meets deadlines.
* Assist in achieving company's mimimum scoring standards on all Brand Quality Assurance inspections.
* Hands on manager that works alongside team including front desk shifts if needed.
* Previous Marriott brand knowledge and management/supervisory experience.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Computer knowledge and ability to understand accounting processes.
* Ability to adapt to frequent change as business demands require.
* College degree or previous experience.
* Ability to work flexible schedules.
* Ability to assist in other departments.
