JOB Summary: This position requires rapid response to problems and concerns with the goal of high customer satisfaction levels. Responsible for assisting the General Manager with day-to-day activities such as sales, marketing, budgeting, forecasting, housekeeping, and maintenance issues. Responsible for motivating, encouraging, and empowering all associates. Must practice consistency and dependability with upholding management and franchise standards.
MAJOR/KEY JOB DUTIES:
§ Participate in budget creation and control
§ Assist with recruiting, selection, training, counseling, coaching, and motivating of associates
§ Participate in and observe departmental performance reviews
§ Manage payroll administration
§ Ensure all employees are aware of and capable of assisting all guests with their needs in a timely and accommodating manner. Be able to assist when necessary.
§ Monitor key control program.
§ Ensure proper delivery of guest special requests by the Front Office Manager and all guest service representatives
§ Assist the General Manager in resolving guest complaints
§ Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with guests, vendors, co-workers, and management.
§ Be well informed of top and target accounts
§ Training all staff members on policies and procedures, including all emergency, safety and all other procedures laid out in the employee handbook
§ Assist the General Manager with payroll and accounts payable
§ Oversee departmental operations and be prepared to help departments as necessary
§ Attend all staff meetings with a positive attitude and inventive ideas for improvements
§ Inspect suites weekly on a spot-check basis for cleanliness
§ Ensure all employees follow cash control procedures
§ Attend all appropriately required Company meetings
§ Promote good employee communication through employee feedback, oral and written communication, and proper training
§ Available to receive calls 24 hours a day seven days a week when the General Manager is unavailable
§ Assist General Manager in maintaining vendor files and ensure all department vendor files are complete and up to date
§ Authorize direct bill accounts and monitor the administration of accounts receivable
§ Inspect rooms and/or suites on an as needed basis.
§ Perform any reasonable request by Management.

Previous hotel management experience AGM or Ops Manager.
