Job Description

Pride Management Inc. welcomes strong, qualified applicants to apply for the position of ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER 1 for our new 150 Room upscale Hyatt Place Houston Center City.

This special Hyatt Place is an urban conversion listed on the historical register. The property features 17 stories overall, with an amazing bar/lounge located on the 16th floor with iconic views of downtown Houston!

We are looking for a motivated individual.

The best applicants will have Hyatt, Hilton, IHG or Marriott experience, with  full service and Food & beverage background.

The Assistant General Manager is responsible to assist the General Manager in managing the daily hotel operations to achieve the planned goals for the hotel and compliance with all management company and brand standards. The Assistant General Manager is expected to demonstrate leadership in helping the execution of sales & marketing initiatives, financial planning, analysis, and management; extraordinary guest service, team member development, and overall operations excellence.


Job Requirements


  • Minimum of (2) years hotel experience as a Assistant General Manager
  • Experience working in a leadership capacity
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Experience working with a property management system
  • Experience working with third party accounting systems
  • Hyatt, IHG, Hilton, or Marriott branded background
  • Food & Beverage, Catering experience
  • Proficiency in Revenue Management
  • Must be able to perform essential Job Duties/Functions not limited to: Standing and walking for extended periods of time, sitting, bending, stretching, and lifting of items 20 pounds or more.
  • Must adhere and follow all State and OSHA requirements including equipment and chemical handling safety and storage to ensure the overall safety of others.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
  • Ability to Multi-task and handle a busy hotel environment
  • This position will require working mornings, evenings and weekends. Will require the ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours. Schedules may vary based on business needs.
