Job Description

Picture yourself as a member of the Naples Grande Beach Resort family! Position Title: Assistant Director of Food & Beverage Shift: FLEXIBLE Day(s) Required: FULL TIME Job Description: The Assistant Director of Food & Beverage is responsible for the overall performance of all Food & Beverage staff and the duties each staff member performs. The Assistant Director must oversee these duties & assure that the execution of these duties reflects the highest standards possible. The Assistant F&B Director must communicate with guests on a consistent basis to gain feedback about their experience and look for ways to improve the experience. The Assistant F&B Director monitors and controls financial and administrative responsibilities including asset protection. This person must manage within budgetary constraints, as well as develop and implement programs to increase sales (repeat business and higher check averages). The Assistant F&B Director must complete all managerial duties, including knowledge of POS system, scheduling, disciplining, payroll & supervision of all revenues incurred in the outlets. Minimum Requirements: * High school diploma or GED * 5 years' experience in the food and beverage department head or senior leadership position in hotel operations * Full Time Management Position that requires full flexibility, ability to work weekends and holidays and a varied schedule * Hotel experience with operating Food and Beverage, or related professional area, along with a thorough understanding of restaurant service Physical Requirements: * Must be able to stand/walk/step for extended periods of time * Must be able to work in hot/cold conditions at any given time * Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds Summary of Responsibilities: Reporting to the Director of F&B, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: * Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service * Lead and manage the F&B Team in all aspects of the department and ensure service standards are followed * Handle guest concerns and react quickly and professionally * To assist in the recruitment and training of F&B staff * Conduct regularly scheduled departmental meetings * Maximize revenues by communicating regularly with teams to implement agreed upon strategies, practices and promotions * Extensive operational knowledge of systems commonly used in food and beverage operations -- Micros (POS), ADP (time and attendance tracking), Labor Management, sales reporting software, and others. Ideal candidate has programing capabilities in one or more of these systems. * Manage the departmental budget * Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards * Advanced to expert ability to supervise all levels of subordinate staff, including, but not limited to, assignment of duties, evaluating service, auditing performance, mentoring, coaching and taking disciplinary action when necessary * Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage * Other duties as assigned Anticipated Start Date: Two (2) weeks from date of job offer The Naples Grande Beach Resort is a drug free workplace and an EOE employer.
