We’re excited to hire and welcome team members to our national park locations!  Xanterra Travel Collection® is a private company that provides concession services within national parks.  All services operated by Xanterra, including lodging, dining, retail, and tour operations, are currently open and continue to operate as planned for the 2025 summer season.  Any potential government layoffs within the National Park Service do not impact our positions or job offers.

The Oasis at Death Valley is situated in a lush, spring-fed desert oasis, surrounded by the vast and arid desert of Death Valley National Park. The Oasis operates the historic AAA Four Diamond Inn and Ranch, restaurants, gift shops, and the world's lowest elevation golf course. Both hotels are open year-round and feature swimming pools fed by naturally warm local springs.

The Details

Position Type: Full-time year-round or Seasonal

Start Dates: As soon as possible on next available check in date (approximately three weeks)

Pay: $17.55Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays). Durring high business volume this position may require overtime.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for cleanliness and upkeep of employee and guest facilities including, but not limited to, restrooms, showers, outdoor seating/gathering areas, building hallways, offices, outdoor walkways, pool areas, and function/event areas.
• Cleans windows, floors, and doors as assigned.
• Performs regular dusting and cleaning of all outdoor and indoor light fixtures
• Empties trash and recycling from all public garbage cans
• Cleans, maintains, and restocks departmental golf cart after every shift.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months to 1 year previous customer service experience.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License
• Must be able to work independently.  
• Must be available for AM and PM Houseperson shifts. 

Physical Requirements Include

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to bend, push, pull, kneel, lift and stand for extended periods of time. 
• Must be able to work in extreme temperatures.
