Compensation: $65,000 to $75,000 per year

The A/P Accountant position is responsible but not limited to:
- Process check requests, expense reports, and invoices into Accounts Payable.
- Process accounts payable and travel agent check runs.
- Calculate use tax amount for certain invoices.
- Respond to all vendor inquiries.
- Reconcile vendor statements.
- Researching inquiries on payments, credit cards, and disputes.
- Engaging in obtaining statements and the Payables process.
- Assisting in pulling month end reports.
- Maintaining agreements and certificate of insurance, plus conducting data entry.
- Assisting in coordination of administrative functions such as clerical duties and answering phone calls.
- Assist with other projects as needed, assigned by Assistant Controller and Director of Finance.
Candidates with previous accounting/finance experience and customer service are preferred. The role requires the ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities. The individual must have a high energy level and the ability to be creative and think independently. Excellent organizational, administrative, and problem-solving skills are also required.
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary languages used in the workplace.
- Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Thorough knowledge of computer processing system and ability to manually perform these operations if necessary.
- Knowledge of computer accounting programs, math skills as well as budgetary analysis capabilities required.
- Must be able to handle a high workload volume with organization and control.
- Ability to solve problems and make rational decision.
- Ability to prepare and analyze data, figures and transcriptions prepared on and generated by computer.
- May be required: to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
