We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to prepare delicious meals according to our menu. The ideal candidate will be able to follow instructions in cooking and delivering well-prepared meals. They must be deft in moving around the kitchen and apt in multi-tasking. Experience in using various ingredients and cooking techniques is also important. 

This is a seasonal position from April 15th - September 15th. 

Job Requirements:

• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
• Follow recipes and presentation specifications.
• Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation.
• Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment.
• Restock items as needed throughout the shift.
• Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes.

Job Qualifications:

• Proven cooking experience is preferred, but willing to train an eager candidate.
• Ability to follow brand and IHM standard operating procedures to prepare food and beverage items.
• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
• Familiar with industry’s best practices.
• Basic knowledge of how to operate all Food and Beverage equipment

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week is variable and is based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors. Island Hospitality is unable to guarantee a specific number of work hours per week.
