What you will do as our next Director of Sales

  • Lead and provide strategic direction, support and leadership for all aspects of the sales and marketing effort, to include Group, Transient and Catering Sales, Revenue Management, and Marketing.
  • Develop strategies for forecasting and analyzing sales/marketing needs, methodologies, and resources to promote new/improved products and to solicit feedback on overall sales/marketing efforts.
  • Prepare, develop, and execute all marketing plans to provide direction and specific plans of action, and evaluate all financial aspects of the sales/marketing efforts throughout the hotel to ensure cost-effectiveness and optimal utilization of resources.
  • Work with the General Manager to determine appropriate sales strategies in all market segments towards maximizing hotel revenues.
  • Responsible for training, coaching, and mentoring all supporting sales staff team members to ensure a challenging and exciting environment that encourages full career development and personal growth.

What you need to be successful as a Director of Sales

Applied business knowledge in business administration, Marketing, Hotel, and Restaurant Management, or a combination of education and four or more years of experience in hotel sales and marketing.

  • Present with a high level of experience and professionalism, with solid verbal and written skills.
  • Strong organizational and presentation skills to frequently negotiate, sell and influence potential buyers.
  • Must demonstrate emotional EQ, comfortable in stressful, high-pressure situations where sales goals and deadlines must be met.
