Location: The Boardwalk Hotel, Mission Beach, CA 

Work Schedule:

• Hours: 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM

• Breaks: 30-minute lunch break

The Boardwalk Hotel is Mission Beach’s newest (and coolest!) boutique hotel. Think of us as a laid-back, surfside escape with an obsession for amazing guest experiences. We’re a small but mighty team looking for an “A” player to join our crew. What You’ll Be Doing (A.K.A. Your Superpowers) Front Desk & Guest Experience 

• Greet guests with enthusiasm, a smile, and maybe a local surf report.

• Handle check-ins and check-outs like a pro, making sure everything runs smoothly.

• Answer phone calls and help guests with bookings, requests, and random questions like, “Where’s the best taco in town?”

• Monitor our reservation system (CloudBeds) to keep things up to date.

• Be the go-to problem solver when guests need assistance.

Room Inspections (Because First Impressions Matter) 

• Check rooms after housekeeping to ensure they meet our high cleanliness and quality standards.

• Report any maintenance issues before a guest can say, "Why is there no hot water?"

General Operations & "Making Things Run Smoothly" 

• Keep the front desk organized and welcoming (a messy desk = a messy mind).

• Stay calm and cool even when things get crazy (like 10 check-ins at once).

• Learn the ins and outs of the hotel, from policies to Mission Beach’s best hidden gems.

• Take pride in how amazing this property looks—because we sure do.

* Nice to Have: Social Media & Marketing Support 

• Post engaging, fun, and high-quality content on our Instagram and Facebook.

• Snap amazing photos of rooms, guests (with permission), and the Mission Beach vibes.

• Interact with local businesses online to keep our brand fresh and visible.

Who You Are (The Ideal Candidate) 💡

• A hospitality pro – If you’ve worked at a front desk before, awesome. If not, but you have killer customer service skills, we’ll train you.

• A calm and collected problem solver – You handle hiccups with grace, not panic.

• A social media whiz – You know your way around Instagram & Facebook and love engaging with people online.

• A detail-oriented doer – You notice the little things, like a wrinkled pillow or a missing hashtag.

• A self-starter – You can work independently and don’t need someone watching over you.
