Job Description

The Lifeguard role is dedicated to providing quality service that exceeds Guest and Member expectations. The Lifeguard works to create guests for life, by proactively embracing the service standards, adhering to safety regulations and gaining the knowledge to assist guests with any and all needs.

Responsibilities

Successfully complete the Lifeguard Training Program and ongoing training requirements.
Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
Maintain constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; acts as immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons events of emergency.
Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintain a high standard of customer service.
Performs various maintenance duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility.
Handles or refers other problems and situations as they arise within the facility to the Manager.
Ability to work both independently and in team procedures.
Attend department meetings as scheduled along with department staff
Maintains continuous observation of pool, deck, and surrounding areas to ensure apparent safety hazards are reported and corrected promptly.
Efficient organization of work areas.
and any other task assigned by management

Qualifications

Must be 16 years of age.
Previous lifeguard experience preferred.
Ability to withstand the elements outdoors
