Director of Accounting

Halifax Hospitality is now accepting applications for the position of Director of Accounting. This position will be based in our corporate office in Franklin, TN and will oversee the financial processes of our hotel properties. Manages day-to-day accounting functions, financial reporting, external compliance reporting and helps provide direction and oversight for the accounting function. Implements accounting controls to ensure timely, accurate processing of transactional data and reporting of financial data.

The Director should have an acute awareness that he/she is providing information that is the life blood of the corporation, and thus, has a critical sense of ownership and urgency on processing, reporting and analyzing financial information. He/she should demonstrate a thorough understanding of accounting principles. This includes developing/managing systems and software to provide critical financial and operational data to the organization. Accounts Payable, Profit & Loss, Payroll, and State Taxes will be the primary functions although additional responsibilities will be added. Experience with QuickBooks, M3, and/or hotels is strongly preferred. Please submit resume and cover letter with salary requirements.
