This position pays $18.4491/hour
Obtain a professional demeanor at all times.
Provide a warm and courteous greeting to all arriving and departing guests.
Assist guests with luggage, making sure it has been properly stored and documented.
Familiarize guest with the room:
o Show guests temperature control.
o Inquire whether guests need the luggage rack to be set up. Show guests the minibars.
o Show guest directory binder (hotel info, minibar listing, DVD library, room service menus.)
o Show guests how to turn on the TV.
o Show guests the switch for the fan.
o Show guests outdoor shower if available.
o Say your name and offer them assistance for further requests.
Assisting with guest packages and food deliveries.
Facilitating room moves.
Cleaning / servicing hotel bikes.
Ensuring bell carts are clean, in working order and stored properly.
Handling / distributing newspapers to guest rooms and keeping the newspaper rack tidy and neat.
Making sure the doors are covered at all times, inform the front desk to cover the door if needed.
Maintaining eye contact for hotel guests and passersby around the hotel perimeters.
Overseeing the lobby area and reporting any issues to the Management.
Communicating inventory of bellman supplies to Management: pens, luggage tags, valet slips, and radio w/earpiece.
Providing guests information on parking, valet and writing detailed tickets for the garage.
Approaching cars coming into the hotel, without waiting to be asked for assistance.
No prior experience or training required, but hotel preferred.
Standing while on shift, excluding breaks.
Ability to lift and carry packages, boxes, and luggage up to 100 pounds.
Professional command of the English language both verbally and written.
Independently motivated, detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
Excellent work ethic with a positive disposition.
Strong, thorough communication skills.
The ability to retain training information as well as daily task requirements.
The ability to follow directions exactly and with enthusiasm.
Being able to work as a team member with other employees.
